March is the traditional St. Patricks' Day celebration month. Luck of the Irish to you!

St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, is one of Christianity's most widely known figures. St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17, his religious feast day and the anniversary of his death in the fifth century. The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for thousands of years.

The first St. Patrick's Day parade took place not in Ireland, but in the United States. Today, St. Patrick's Day is celebrated by people of all backgrounds in the United States, Canada, and Australia. Although North America is home to the largest productions, St. Patrick's Day has been celebrated in other locations far from Ireland, including Japan, Singapore, and Russia.

Attain Better Business Organization With Online Project Management

By Dana Larson

In today's business world, people are busier than ever. Workloads have increased significantly, and everyone wants to put forth more effort to ensure their business can improve and increase revenue. And when everyone is busy and running around like the proverbially chicken with its head cut off, an office environment can get pretty disorganized.

For those of us working in services firms where we manage a certain amount of client accounts, strong organization can be the difference between a happy client and a client who leaves our firm. Working to stay organized in client documents, information, projects and communication is what we all need to produce quality work for our clients and keep them working with us as long as possible.

But how do people get organized? It's not a course to take in college, and sometimes the most productive people have the messiest desks in the office. So what makes a person "organized" and "efficient"? There are 5 key traits possessed by an organized individual.

1. Setting Goals

By setting goals, these people have a clear idea in mind as to what they'd like to accomplish, and can identify the steps they need to take to reach that goal.

2. Making Lists

Lists don't only help with remembering groceries. List can be a great way of outlining what they plan to accomplish each day, or the steps involved in completing a project.

3. Prioritizing Tasks

Organized people identify what jobs are the most important, and attack those first. This helps alleviate stress and less important tasks are then accomplished easily.

4. Taking Breaks

You may think this is counter-productive, but an organized person can take a small break during the work day or go on mini-vacations and enjoying themselves without worrying about work back at the office.

5. Creating Habits

Developing routines that can be modified if needed is the key to getting the most work done. Someone may schedule all their data entry tasks in the morning and their writing tasks in the afternoon as that is when they feel they can accomplish those tasks the best.

These traits are wonderful to have, and can keep an individual organized in their personal life as well as their professional life. However, if you are a business owner, you need to make sure everyone on your team can function by using these traits.
